WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the Multiple Family Design Guidelines will: <br /> 1. Implement the policies of the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> 2. Provide for the general health, safety and welfare of the public; and <br /> 3. Promote the best long term interests of the Everett community; and <br /> 4. Improve the quality and safety of multiple family residential development in Everett; <br /> and <br /> 5. Assist architects, builders, developers, and designers in the planning and design of <br /> quality higher density housing types in the City of Everett; and <br /> 6. Provide direction for City staff in the review of development applications for single <br /> family attached and multiple family housing developments; and <br /> 7. Improve the stability of neighborhoods in which higher density housing is permitted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of Everett hereby adopts the Multiple Family Design <br /> Guidelines, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A,to be used as a companion to <br /> the Zoning Code in the design and review of single family attached and multiple family <br /> housing development. <br /> 2.
