EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The purpose of this contract is to provide architectural and engineering services for the Evergreen Branch Library <br /> Expantion Project located at 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett, Washington. The approximate size of the addition is <br /> anticipated to be 5,552 square feet based on a previous feasibility study,with 36 parking stalls added to the site. <br /> The scope of services for this project includes the preparation of architectural drawings suitable for permit <br /> application,bidding,and construction,meetings with City and Library staff to review drawings at schematic design, <br /> design development,and construction document for the expansion of the Evergreen Branch Library and integration <br /> of the telecom, fiber optics,and data systems from the duplex building into a designated space within the Evergreen <br /> Branch Library. Contract Administration services are also included. <br /> BASIC ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES: <br /> Part 1 - Evaluation and Schematic Design Services: <br /> 1. Identify/confirm building department requirements affecting project development. <br /> 2. Prepare base drawings in Revit format of sufficient detail to prepare conceptual drawings. <br /> 3. Conduct limited as-built investigation as required to verify existing conditions. <br /> 4. Provide a conceptual floor plan and site plan for an addition to the Evergreen Branch Library. <br /> 5. Attend 2-3 meetings with Facilities Department and Library staff for the purposes of reviewing drawings. <br /> 6. Attend 2 meetings with board members. <br /> 7. Attend 1 public meeting. <br /> 8. Revise drawings based on review comments. <br /> Part 2— Design Development Services: <br /> 1. Based on approved Schematic Design Drawings,prepare Design Development Drawings to define and <br /> describe the project's size and character in terms of its civil, landscape,architectural,mechanical,and <br /> electrical components. <br /> 2. Select Finishes and colors for owner review and approval. <br /> 3. Prepare(1)Color and Material concept board for display. <br /> 4. Coordinate project scope and system concepts with Civil,Landscape,Structural,Mechanical and Electrical <br /> consultants. <br /> 5. Review all design information with the Owner,clarify project requirements and document approvals,before <br /> proceeding. <br /> 6. Two(2)Meetings with the Owner to review the design development drawings. <br /> Part 3— Construction Documents Services: <br /> 1. Based on approved Design Development Drawings,prepare detailed drawings documenting the specific <br /> requirements for construction. <br /> 2. Prepare Project Manual. Dykeman will prepare the technical specification sections and the City of Everett <br /> provide Division 00 and 01 sections. <br /> 3. Coordinate Owners furnishings and equipment to be installed(FOIC). <br /> 4. Assist the Owner in obtaining the necessary building permits. <br /> 5. Prepare NREC energy calculations,as required by the City of Everett. <br /> Part 4— Bidding Services: <br /> 1. Assist the Owner in answering questions during bidding. <br /> 2.
