HDR was proposed to be a subcontractor to Perteet Engineering on a separate contract agreement that provides the contract plans for the access bridge into the Simpson Site. HDR would provide the pre-design, design and construction support for the bridge. There are contract issues between the two firms that have prevented HDR from signing their sub-consultant agreement with Perteet for the bridge design. In an effort to eliminate any further delay with the bridge design, City Staff is recommending that the bridge design be added to the existing Professional Service Agreement with HDR. Amendment No.1 will give City Staff direct control of the bridge design and will allow the design to proceed without delay. Amendment No. 1 will increase the existing PSA with HDR by$350,000. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement between the City of Everett and HDR Engineering, Inc. for the amount of$350,000.00. 7 CCA Bridge addition-Amendment No. 1 to HDR PSA
