Cask <br />60500 is added to provide a contingency fund for unanticipated and unidentified work, and is <br />intended to allow payment to URS under this contract for scope changes that the City determines <br />to be necessary. Funds for this task will not be used without prior written approval from the City. <br />CITY: FURNISHED DATA <br />-Che City has furnished URS the following data: <br />• Geotechnical data from previous projects near the 36 -inch pipeline Jog section. <br />• Drawings showing the existing 36 -inch pipelinejog section plan and profile. <br />• Drawings showin'o the proposed BNSF railroad crossin'plan and profile. <br />• Information on underground utilities around the pipeline jog section. <br />SCU EDULE :VND BUDGET <br />URS will complete the engineering and design work on a time and material basis as an <br />amendment to ttre 36"' Street Sewer Protection Project contract between the City and URS, dated <br />September 25, 2006. <br />The engineering fee for the work is estimated to be approximately S85,000 as shown on the <br />attached cost estimate spreadsheet. <br />URS has completed the geotechnical exploration work and has started the design. [t is understood <br />that 13NSF plans to remove the existing track by November 30. 2007, and to build the new track <br />by December 14; 2007. Therefore, URS will strive to complete the design work as follows: <br />• Furnish a draft design to the City by October 19, 2007 <br />• Receive City and BNSF review coirunents by October 26, 2007 <br />• Fumish the final design to the City by November 2. 2007. <br />This will allow the City to execute a contractor change order in early November. and for the <br />contractor to start construction by mid-November.
