Chanyes to plans must bei approved by both lhe Engineering & Public <br /> Services and Fire Departments. <br /> Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as esta�lished in NFPA Standard 13. <br /> Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and Flushed as established in NFPA Standard 24 for <br /> private fire mains. Below-ground piping must be installed by Washington Stete Patrol Licensed <br /> Underground Sprinkler line certified "U' inslallers. All such <br /> tests shall be witnessed by a Fire Department Inspector. Large metal-framed or metal and concrete buildings can <br /> weaken the signal so that communication and, therefore, firefighter safety is compromised. This <br /> structure must meet the requirements of EMC 16.03.060, Sectlon 511,which specifically addresses <br /> required radio system perfortnance standards fn this structure. Construclion and demolition of buildings shall be in compliance wilh lhe provisions of the 2006 <br /> Intemational Fire Code, Chapter 14. <br /> 32. In order to expedile plan review, a hazardous materials inventory list shall be provided as a part of the <br /> submittal For building pertnil. The storage, handling and use of hazardous materials shall be in <br /> compliance with Chapter 27 of the Intematlonal Fire Code, 2006 EdiUon. <br /> 33. The slorage, handling and use oF flammable or combustible liquids shall comply with Chapter 34 of ihe <br /> Intemational Fire Code, 2006 Edition. <br /> 34. All fire alartn control panels (FACP)and sprinkler valves shall be in heated rooms or closets with <br /> slandard man door access. Locations shall be approved by the Fre Code Oflicial. <br /> 35. The location of Fire Departmenl connections(FDC)and post indicalor valves(PIV)shall be detertnined <br /> by lhe Fire Code Official.
