f• Where directed by the Fire Code O�cial, specific areas shall be designated and those areas are to <br /> be marked with diagonal striping across lhe width of the fire lane. Diagonal marking shall be used in <br /> conjuncGon with painted curbs and/or edge striping and shall run at an angle of 3�to 60 degrees <br /> 'rom one side to the other. These diagonal lines shall be in red traffic pai, , parallel with each other, <br /> at least 6 inches in width and 24 inches apart. Lettering shall appear�� above. <br /> 22. Premises shall be clearly identi�ed by the correct address at the sheel entry. Buiidings shall be clearly <br /> identffied so as to be visible and Iegible from the access road. Individual apa�tments and suites, where <br /> applicable, shell be clearly and legibly identified from the access road. <br /> Signs shall be locatPd at East Marine vew Drive and at the driveway entrance. <br /> 23. Premise identification and all required Fire department access roads and fire hydrants shall be in service <br /> prior to commencement of construction. <br /> 24. Based upon 39,430 square feet of Type II-B, sprinklered constructlon, the fire flow requirement is 2,125 <br /> gpm. <br /> 25. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be provided within 75 feet of <br /> travel on all floors of each building during construction and prior to occupency. <br /> 26. Install a portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:40-B:C within 30 feet travel distance <br /> of ail portions of this building in the maintenance area. <br /> 27. An approved automatic fire detecUon system shall be provided as required by City Ordinance No. 3021- <br /> O7, Chapter 16.76, oF the Everefl Municipel Code. <br /> Plans for such system shall be submitted to the Fire Code Offidal for review and approval prior to <br /> installetion. Submittal shall include cut sheets of all equipment intended For use. Appropriate trip tests, <br /> witnessed by a Fire Departmenl Inspector, shall be perfortned, along with a certiFcate of completbn, <br /> prior to Bnal acceptance oi the system. <br /> Fire alarm systems shali be installed according to NFPA Chapter 72. InstallaUon of fire alerm <br /> components, including basic wiring, may not commence before plans are approved by the Fire <br /> Department Plan Reviewer. Fire alartn drawings must be professionally rendered, in sufficient detail, <br /> and must be intemally consistent. Riser d(agrams musl match installation plans and load calculations. <br /> Components must he listed and approved for use together. Charges to plans must include new <br /> drawings and calculations and must be approved by the Fire Department Plan Reviewer prior to <br /> installation. Fire alarm installation is subject to field inspection by a Rre Depertrnent Inspector. An <br /> approved set of plans and the Engineering 8 Public Services Department electrical pertnit must be <br /> present for any installation inspection. <br /> Fire alarm systems shall be installed under pertnit of the City oi Everett Engineering 8 Public Services <br /> Department. Electrical inspections a�d approval are required prior to calling for acceptance tests. Call <br /> (425)257-8810 for permit information. <br /> The absence of working phone lines for the alartn system will be cause for postponing Flre Department <br /> inspection and testing and shall resull in denial of occupancy. <br /> 28. An approved automatic suppression system shall be provided as required by Ciry Ordinance No. 3021- <br /> 07, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code.
