The proposed partnership is a pilot project for native plant <br />restoration at Forest Park. Partnerships, such as this one, are a key component with respect to <br />implementation of the department's Strategic Plan. <br />The attached memorandum identifies the mutual responsibilities of the City and WNPS. The WNPS will <br />teach and train stewards native plant restoration principles, concepts and techniques during an eight (8) week <br />course. In exchange for providing classroom space at Legion Park, the stewards agree to contribute a <br />minimum of 300 hours of plant restoration stewardship during the next 12 months on a one (1) acre parcel at <br />Forest Park.
