M <br />7. WNPS's responsibilities include: <br />a. Removal of non-native plants and replacement with native species within the <br />assigned and agreed to 1 acre site at Forest Park (figure 1) according to a project <br />management plan approved by WNPS and COE. <br />b. Provision of a minimum of 300 hours of stewardship to the 1 acre site of Forest Park <br />for a minimum of 12 months, beginning April 2008, for the purpose of native plant <br />restoration. <br />c. Provision of the necessary and approved equipment and tools to carry out the <br />restoration project. <br />d. Completion of Criminal History Background checks on all individuals associated <br />with this project prior to project start date. <br />e. Provision of written project plans 2 weeks prior to last class. <br />f. Monitoring, repo�r ing, main ammg, an remedying any amage cause -by stewar <br />activity in the described parcel. <br />g. Project management reporting to COE including such items as organizing <br />stewardship efforts, site plan development, and program administration. <br />h. Provide general clean up of the Legion Park Horticulture Classroom on designated <br />meeting days. <br />i. Alert parks staff to any hazardous materials found. <br />8. City's responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: <br />a. Provide direction and guidelines on WNPS work within the prescribed site. <br />b. Provide routine disposal of trash and debris collected at the site as necessary. <br />Provide equipment (non -powered) to WNPS for project implementation as necessary <br />and when possible. <br />d. Provide meeting space for the class at the Legion Park Horticulture classroom from <br />April 4 — June 6, 2008, 8 am — 5 pm. <br />9. Joint responsibilities of both parties will include: <br />a. Periodic site walk (every 2 weeks) to conduct an assessment of project. <br />b. Develop work plan to address identified needs. 17 <br />
