Due to recent increases in biological loading at the Water <br />Pollution Control Facility, the City has a need for an analysis of current plant operation and evaluation of <br />options for cost-effectively treating the increased loading in the short term as well as long term. While the <br />initial scope/contract is intended to cover the preparation of an engineering report, Public Works wishes to <br />reserve the right to amend this contract to cover subsequent phases of work as required. The work may <br />include, but is not limited to, data collection and analysis, operational evaluation, modeling, optimization, <br />development of alternative solutions, scheduling, cost estimating, preparation of plans and specifications. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize Public Works to advertise for a Statement of Qualifications for an Engineering Report on the <br />Water Pollution Control Facility. <br />5 <br />CADocuments and Settings\SuClark\Desktop\Mar. 14 Council\TM-Ad WPCF Report-3-12-08.DOC <br />
