3 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP#2008-044) <br /> Sewer System Flow Monitoring Services <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk at the City Clerk's Office, 1s` Floor <br /> Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 PM, on May 6, 2008 and will then and <br /> there be opened and publicly read aloud. <br /> The proposal shall be for sewer system flow monitoring services generally summarized as follows: <br /> • Metering at selected locations in conjunction with waste strength sampling by WPCF Industrial <br /> Pretreatment group. <br /> • Metering and rain gauges for calibration of a sewer hydraulic model of the City's sanitary and <br /> combined sewer system. <br /> • Metering to evaluate status of current pipe capacity in selected trunks and interceptors. <br /> • Metering of flows received into the City system from outside sewer agencies. <br /> The sewer monitoring consultant shall furnish and install temporary sewer flow monitoring and rain gauge <br /> equipment at selected locations in the City's combined and sanitary sewer network and shall provide <br /> comprehensive data management and equipment maintenance services. <br /> Sewer and rainfall monitoring shall be conducted for approximately 9 months beginning in July 2008. While <br /> the initial scope/contract is intended to accomplish sewer system flow monitoring during 9 months in 2008 <br /> and 2009, the City reserves the right to amend this contract to extend and/or expand the scope of work. <br /> The Proposal shall also include a summary of the firm's Experience Credentials and a Draft Work Plan. <br /> For technical questions regarding this project, contact David Voigt, Project Engineer, City of Everett, at (425) 257- <br /> 8983 or dvoigt cr ci.everett.wa.us. <br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and waive any irregularities or informalities. No firm may <br /> withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the award as <br /> deemed in the best interest of the City.
