6.12 Political Activities. Political activity of local Contractor employees <br /> 1. 0 and officers are limited by the State Public Disclosure Act and the Federal <br /> Hatch Act. <br /> No funds may be used for working for or against ballot measures or for or <br /> against the candidacy of any person for public office. <br /> The Contractor shall certify that no funds payable under this Agreement will <br /> be paid by or on behalf of the Contractor to pay any person for influencing or <br /> attempting to influence an officer or employee of any agency, Member of <br /> Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or any employee of Member <br /> of Congress in connection with the awarding of any federal or state <br /> Contract, grant, loan or cooperative agreement. <br /> 6.13 Conflict of Interest and Kickbacks. Employees, subcontractors, and <br /> board or committee members shall not use, or give the appearance of using, <br /> their positions for the personal gain of themselves or those with whom they <br /> have family, business or other ties. <br /> Employees, subcontractors and board or committee members shall not have <br /> or acquire any interest, direct or indirect, which would conflict with the <br /> performance of services under this Agreement. <br /> The Contractor shall not employee or subcontract with persons who have <br /> conflicts of interest, nor appoint them as members of its governing board or <br /> advisory committee. <br /> Personnel, and governing board, or advisory committee policies of the <br /> Contractor, shall include written standards of conduct governing conflict of <br /> interests and kickbacks. <br /> Gratuities in the form of entertainment, gifts or otherwise offered by the <br /> Contractor, an agent or representative of the Contractor to any officer or <br /> employee of the Department, with a view towards securing this Agreement <br /> or securing favorable treatment with respect to the awarding, amending or <br /> the making of any determination shall render this Agreement void able at the <br /> option of the Department and may justify further action under the Executive <br /> Conflict of Interest Act, Title 42.52 RCW. <br /> Contractor is prohibited from including, by any means, people employed <br /> under this Agreement or a subcontract to give up any part of the <br /> compensation to which it is otherwise entitled. (See Anti-Kickback Act, 18 <br /> USC 874). <br /> 7. Duties of the City. The City shall reimburse the Contractor for costs incurred <br /> during the contract period in an amount not to exceed $15,487.00, and in <br /> accordance with the reimbursement provisions below. <br /> 8. Reimbursement Provisions. <br /> 8.1 Funds will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis to the Contractor for <br /> 4 2 the costs incurred for work performed during the reporting period. <br /> 8.2 In order to obtain reimbursement, the Contractor shall submit an invoice <br /> on a form to be provided by the City, which identifies the costs incurred for <br /> AGREEMENT RE STOP GRANT Page 5 <br />
