The replacement will occur over several phases. Transmission line No. 2 is a 78- <br /> year old buried pipeline which is reaching the end of its useful life.This project covers phase 8B, <br /> design and permitting. However, the City reserves the right to amend this contract to cover <br /> subsequent phases. The work under this phase (phase 8B) will consist of replacing approximately <br /> 5,400 feet of 48-inch diameter steel pipe. The budgeted amount for the replacement of phase 8B <br /> is $7,000,000.
