Deliverables <br /> 1. Draft predesign report (Five hardcopies, one PDF electronic copy). <br /> 2. Final predesign report (Five hardcopies, one PDF electronic copy). <br /> 4.3 Subtask 403 — 90 Percent Design <br /> Purpose <br /> Prepare 90 percent design documents (plans and specifications) for the project, as defined in <br /> the Predesign Report, involving approximately 5,500 ft of 48-inch pipe and connections to the <br /> existing City system. 90 percent design will proceed based on the approved concepts and <br /> layouts established in the Predesign Report. <br /> Consultant Services <br /> 1. Prepare detailed design calculations based on the pipeline material identified in the <br /> Predesign Report, including evaluation of internal working and surge pressures, external <br /> loading conditions, and required pipe bedding strengths (E' values). <br /> 2. Review Pipeline No. 3 and No. 4 documentation in the vicinity of the Phase 8B project. <br /> Develop a strategy to protect the pipelines throughout the construction process. <br /> 3. Prepare drawings for the pipeline, including details for pipe, utility crossings, connection <br /> details, blowoffs, air and vacuum valves, isolation valves, typical trench details, erosion <br /> and sedimentation control, cathodic protection details (prepared by subconsultant), and <br /> other miscellaneous details. <br /> 4. Prepare specifications for the pipeline project in accordance with CSI standard format. <br /> 5. Review local project constraints to determine project phasing and scheduling. Include <br /> scheduling discussion in project specifications. <br /> City Responsibilities <br /> 1. Provide City standard specifications in electronic (Word) format, including preferred <br /> front-end sections (bid tabs, contractual language, etc). <br /> 2. Provide existing as-built information for Pipelines No. 2, 3, and 4 throughout the project <br /> area. <br /> Assumptions <br /> 1. No pipeline hydraulic or surge modeling will be completed for the project.
