The project replaces approximately 1,500 linear feet <br /> of deteriorated combined sewer trunk mains and approximately 30 residential side sewer connections. The <br /> existing trunk main is approximately 100 years old, moderately deteriorated and subject to possible failure. <br /> This project will decrease the risk of failure and provide improved accessibility and reliability of the system. <br /> In addition, approximately 900 linear feet of new sewer pipes will be constructed by this project that will be <br /> utilized by the proposed Bond Street CSO Control Facility which is scheduled to be constructed in 2011. <br /> The estimated construction cost is $3.2 million.
