Footing Subgrade: As requested by the contractor, PanGEO will make periodic site <br /> visits to confirm the adequacy of the footing subgrade. PanGEO will particularly <br /> confirm that the exposed soils at the footings are consistent with the design <br /> assumptions of our geotechnical report. PanGEO will also review the subgrade for <br /> potential disturbance from construction operations, particularly during periods of wet <br /> weather. That is, the site soils are susceptible to disturbance from rainfall and <br /> construction activity and the footing subgrade must be protected. Therefore, if it <br /> appears the footing subgrade may be disturbed from construction activity, PanGEO <br /> will provide recommendations for procedures to reduce this disturbance. PanGEO <br /> has assumed that 8 site visits may be required for this task at 4 hours for each visit. <br /> e. Floor Slab Subgrade: As requested by the contractor, PanGEO will make periodic <br /> site visits to confirm the adequacy of the compaction of the subgrade beneath the <br /> floor slabs. PanGEO has assumed that this work may require 4 site visits at 4 hours <br /> each, including preparation of the site memo. <br /> f. Pavement Subgrade: PanGEO will provide an engineer on an on-call basis to confirm <br /> the adequacy of the subgrade and the compaction of the fill soils in the pavement <br /> section of the new parking lots and roads. PanGEO has assumed that this work may <br /> require 4 site visits at 4 hours each, including the preparation of site memos. <br /> g. Additional Consultation and Meetings: PanGEO shall allocate a total of 8 hours to <br /> address RFI's, attend meetings, and provide additional consultation during <br /> construction. <br /> h. Final Inspection Report: With the completion of the geotechnical aspects of the <br /> construction, PanGEO will prepare a final memo that will be sent to the City, <br /> documenting PanGEO's observations, and the conformance of the construction with <br /> the project plans and specifications. <br /> 2. Paragraph 3 is modified to read as follows: <br /> This Agreement shall commence as of the date of this agreement and shall be completed <br /> by August 30, 2008. <br /> 3. Paragraph 4(D) is modified to read as follows: <br /> Total compensation, including all services and expenses, shall not exceed a <br /> maximum of Thirty Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Eight Dollars <br /> ($33,808.00). <br /> 4.
