A fifteen-foot wide waler
easement runs south from 104'h Street throu;h approximately the center of the property.
The installation of this water line will require tlie clearing and removal of vegetation
within the fifteen-foot wide eament during the construction process. and include
crossing under the on-site stream 1nd associated buffer. All disturbances will be limited
to the fifteen-foot wide easement. A combination of careful construction practice and
restoraton is proposed to mitigate for the proposed impact. The top 12 inches of subsoil
will be excavated and stockpiled separately from the subsoils. Excavated subsoils will be
sidecast along the side of [he rench and returned ro the trench for Uericl of the water
line. Subsoils will be backfilled first followed by stockpiled topsoils in the first six to
twelve inches of the surface. The surface will then be graded back to preexisting
contours and elevations All in-stream work will be confined to the dry season. Straw
bales and siltation fencing will be placed up and down stream of the restoration azea
where they shall remain throughout the entire first winter and spring following
restoration. The proposed water line easement will temporarily impact 113 square feet of
wetland and associated stream, and 1,4I5 square feet of buffer. To replace functions and
values for thc impacted wetland and buffer, restoration is proposed using the plants listed
belov.
Upland planls
Common Name
Douglas fir
Western red cedar
Snowberry
Red elderberry
Scientific Name
Pseudotsuga meniesii
Thujn plicara
Symphoricarpus albus
Sambucts racemosa
10
Size
1 gallon
l gallon
1 gallon
l gallon
acin Number
lOft. 5
10 fr. 4
Sft. 12
Sft.
