By providing the opportunity for more owner occupied housing that is subject to the standards of <br /> the R-S zone and Section 37 of the zoning code(Environmentally Sensitive Areas), the proposed <br /> zoning promotes the best long term interests of the Everett community and provides a substantial <br /> relation to the public welfare; and <br /> 3. The proposed rezone to R-S is necessary to implement the change to the Land Use Map <br /> recommended by the Planning Commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The zoning of the above described property is hereby changed from A-1 to R-S. <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk is hereby instructed to file a duly certified copy of this Ordinance with <br /> the Auditor of Snohomish County, Washington. <br /> Section 3: Severability.
