• <br /> • <br /> $2,502 and $834/unit, respectively, and that Me connection charges herein reasonably relate to the <br /> equitable share of the cost of the sewer system and water system to be borne by new duplexes, triplexes <br /> and units of multiple housing complexes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that connection charges for commercial and industrial uses inside <br /> city limits should relate to single family residence water and sewer usage (single family equivalents) <br /> provided that commercial/industrial charges should be reduced in consideration of lesser peaking, <br /> resulting in a sewer and water connection charge of$1,037 per 900 cu. ft./month of estimated sewage <br /> effluent ($651 sewer/$386 water) with a minimum connection charge of $1,037, ($651 sewer/$386 <br /> water); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council further finds that property assessed under ULID #1 should be exempt <br /> from the charges assessed for sewer fees herein and trunk and lateral sewer connection charges pursuant <br /> to Ordinance No. 627-79 (EMC 14.04.090, 100, 110 and 120); <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an equitable share of the cost of the water transmission <br /> system should be paid by new connections to the water transmission system (defined as water <br /> transmission lines No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 east of the Snohomish River); <br /> WHEREAS, City Council finds that water connection fees for water transmission system <br /> connections should relate to proposed land use as follows: <br /> each single family $320 <br /> each duplex $467 <br /> each triplex $618 <br /> each multiple housing unit $206 <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that connection charges for commercial and industrial uses <br /> proposing to connect to the water transmission system should relate to single family residence water <br /> usage provided that commercial/industrial charges should be reduced in consideration of lesser peaking, <br /> resulting in a water connection charge of $256 per 900 cu. ft./month of estimated water usage with a <br /> minimum connection charge of$256; <br /> WHEREAS, City Council finds that a 25% surcharge should be applied to new connections to the <br /> water transmission system; <br /> WHEREAS, the water and sewer connection charges have not been increased since 1979; <br /> AGREEMNT\DM12230R(YJ 4/7/94) 2 <br />
