In 1995 this development will generate 681 AM
peak hour trips and 729 PM peak hour trips onto the ramps of this
interchange. This interchange was not analyzed in this study for a
LOS.
The Department recommends this developer examine the possibility of
providing HOV improvements such as queue jumps or bypasses to/from SR-
526 on its ramps connecting with I-5.
In the above mentioned items the Department will need this additional
information, which the developer should examine, to complete our
review of this proposal.
6) If revisions to SR-526 channelization are necessary to mitigate
this proposed development's traffic impacts, the Department will
require a channelization plan to be submitted for our review and
approval. The channelization plan should be a minimum scale of 1"=50';
showing the entire intersection/interchange including lane widths,
tapers, pavement markings, raised lane markers, existing accesses, and
stationing of all changes in types of lanes and striping. Terms stated
in the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal
Construction should be used when referring to pavement markings and
raised lane markers.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this proposal. Should you
have any questions, please feel free to contact Donald Hurter (562-
4274) or Ed Giraud (562-4262) of my Developer Section.
Sincerely,
J. wQ
JAMES L.
