Preconstruction - Fire Inspection Requirements <br />Boeing Employee Activity Center <br />Job 564 <br />Page 2 <br />1) Carrol will do preliminary of 1st joints, then <br />typical so Deeny can proceed backfilling of all <br />joints. <br />2) Inspection will be done of thrust blocks prior to <br />pour. <br />3) Carrol's inspections will continue from the vault <br />into building for domestic only. Pressure test to <br />be 180 psi for 15 minutes. <br />4) Fire Inspection will be everything past the double <br />check. <br />5) Sign off of the inspections will be done by both <br />City of Everett and City Fire Department. If City <br />of Everett not available Fire only is acceptable. <br />BECE will forward inspection sign offs to Boeing <br />Fire. <br />6) Hydrostatic Certifications will be issued. Per Sam <br />there is a new WAC Rule making the sprinkler <br />contractor responsible for the underground fire <br />mains also. New Regulations <br />Advance Fire Protection may want to attend <br />inspections. <br />4) Installation Proceduress <br />a) Minimum fire mains coverage Boeing requirement and <br />drawings 4'-6". Domestic per Carrol is 3'. <br />b) City installation includes installed service, double <br />detectors to stub out. Review of City cost breakdown <br />needs to be reviewed to verify City installation of <br />service to vault. <br />5) Discussions: <br />a) Boeing environmentale <br />1) Question the flushing of domestic into retention <br />Pons and sani. Fire flush can go into storm, but <br />storm needs to be clean prior to. Boeing to check <br />with environmental for requirements. <br />
