Raof diaphragm and sheanvall desi�ns must be provided clearly definin� the load path to the ground. Allowable shear values and corresponding fastening requirements must be provided from the roofing and siding manufacturers. Post calculations must be as required by the 1997 UBC. Rough sawn lumber must be specified if nominal dimensions are to be used in Ihe calculations. 2. 1'he submitted calcula[ions for the truss to post connection indicate a value of 1200 Ibs. for a 3/a" bolt in single shear parallel to the grain with '? x side pieces. The 97 UBC indicates a value of 720 lbs. for this condition. Please revise calculations and c,arify detailin� in the construction documents. 3. The submitted calculations for the girts indicate an allowabfe bending stress of 1.25 ksi. This does not a�ree �vith any of the 97 UBC listed values for hem fir. Please revise the calculations and use 97 UBC stresses and adjustment values. Lumber grades must be indicated in the construction documents. 4.
