DAVID L. NELSON AND ASSOCIATES, INC.
" Consulting Engineering Geology
 October 6, 1992
Project No. 9892
 Page 2
All elevations mentioned in this report refer to existing qrade.
We were provided by you with a site plan of the lot araa, which
was used for preparation of our Location Map. We did discuss
with you on site the proposed residence placement area, based
 upon desired building setbacks.
Locations and observed conditions are graphically shown on the
enclosed Location Map (sheet M-1 ) and Slope Profile (sheet M-2 ) .
i
 ERISTING CONDITIONS
The site consists of about 2.5 acres located just of 46th Street
SW, at about the 300 Dlock, in the City of Everett, Wahington.
The proposed residence development area consists of a small,
I westerly part of the lot; whereas, the majority of the lot
consists of a steep easterly facing slope, which ends along
Pigeon Creek 1.
' Presently, the site is undeveloped, but shoos signs of some past
clearing, yrading and filling within the proposed development
area. Vegetation on the site consists primarily of grass and a
ffew trees along the top of slope within tlie upslope portion.
Mixed deciduous trees, evergreen trees and underbrush occur
within the sloping portion of the lot, and off-site to the north
and north withinsthe upslopeparea1oPAstopWofgslope tlinee occurs
at a point about as shown on the Location Map, which crosses the
site in an undulating fashion, qenerally from southwest to
;iortheast. Below this top of slope, the sloping portion is steep
to very steep down generally to the east. The proposed residence
is planned to be above the top of slope. A cross section showing
I the top of slope and the underlying soil conditions are presented
on Sheet M-2.
IGealogic Conditions
Landforms within this region comprise a system of glacially
sculptect features, which have been exposed by post-glacial
I erosion. Locally, the terrain of this area are interpreted to
have been glacially modified, and to have been placed during the
latest and next to latest glaciation of the Puget Lowland area.
t Subsequent erosion by drainages such as Pigeon Creek #1 have
created local steep slope areas within these deposits. Glacial
ice is thought to have last occupied the region during the late
 The1latesteqlacial adva;icerivertthe3area isareferrdetorasethe
Vashon Stade of the Frarez Glaciation. Evidence of at least
three (3) glaciations have been recorded in this portion of the
 city of Everett.

l
 __
