Roof drains should not be connected to wall <br />or tooting drains. <br />We also recommend that all residence downspouu and yard drains be investigated to understand where <br />they are directed. At a minimum, we recommend that al! residence downspouts and yard drdins be <br />tightlined and directed to discharge to a suitable dischargc location. <br />USE OF THIS LETTER <br />NGA has prepared this letter for Ms. Ruth Mosmao and her agents for use in the planning and design the <br />improvements of planned on this site only. 'I'he scope of our work dnes not include services related to <br />construction saft�ty precautions and our recommencxtions are not intended to direct the contractors' <br />methods, techniques, sequenecs, or procedures, except as specifically described in our letter for <br />consideration in design. Therc are possible variations in subsurfacc conditions between d�e exptorations <br />and also with time. Our letter, conclusions, and interpretations should not be construed as a warranty of <br />subsurface conditions. A contingency for unanticipated conditions should be included in the budget and <br />schedule. <br />We recommend that NGA be retained to p;ovide monitoring and consultatiou services during <br />conswction to confirtn that the conditions encountcred are consistent with those indicated by thc <br />explorations, to provide recommendations for design changes should the conditions rcvea!ed during the <br />work differ from those anticipated, and to evaluate whether or noi earthwork and (oundation inslallation <br />activitics comply with contract plans and specifications. We should be contactcd a minimum of one <br />weck prior to constn�etion activitics and could attend pre-construction mcelings if requested. <br />Within thc limitations of scope, schcdule, and budget, our services have bccn performed in accordanra <br />with generally acceptcd geotechnical enginecring practices in effect in this arca at the time this Ictter was <br />prepared. No other warranty, expresscd or implied, is made.
