This evaluation was requested by owner / developer (Massey Construction, Inc.) and as required by City oi Everett. Soil Properties Triangle and Iniiltration Rate Categorization chart • Site photographs Eveluation: This engineer performed an on-site geotechnical and drainage evaluation on June 25, 1998. The overall property (understood to consist of .37 acres) consists oi an existing residence (609 - 54th Street S.W.) ard flat wooded / grassy area to the west (see Iot layout plan). In order to assess the iniiitration rate of the soil, a series oi five (5) soil test holes were hand-dug at the locations indicated. A garden hose and 5 gallon buckets were used to test the iniiltration rate of the subgrade soils at the tive test holes. The results of all five test holes were similar, namely: Sandy loam soil. •. . •:: .. . . • .. . • . .... . • Intiftration rates (under this engineer's observation) vari�d between one and one-haff inches (1 1/2') per hour up to two and one-halt inches (2 1/2") per hour.
