The overall property (understood to consist of .37 acres) consists of an pxisting
residence (609 - 54th Street S.W.) and flat wood!ad /grassy area to the west (see lot layout
plan).
In order to assess the infiltration rate of the soil, a series of tive (5) soil test holes were
hand-dug at the locations indicated. A garden hose and 5 gallon buckets were used to test
the infiltration rate ot the subgrade soils at the tive test holes. The results of all five test
holes were similar, namely: Sandy loam soil.
Intiltration rates (under this engineer's observation) varied between one and one-hat(
inchss (1 1/2') per hour up to two and one-hali inches (2 1/2") per hour.
SOILS • FOUNDATlONS • SITE DEVELOPMENT • INSPECTION • DRA/NAGE • DES/GN 6 PERM? • LEGAL
17814 8th Ave. N.W. • Shoreline, Washinglon 98177 •(206) 546•9217 • FAX 546-84A2
