Buse to revise the <br />above mentioned shoreline permit which allowed the fill of approximately <br />15.5 acres with approximately 110,000 cubic yards of materiai to provide <br />for lumber and Iog storage. Please see the attached discussion of the <br />Revision. <br />The applicant s�ecifically requested a revision to the above mentioned <br />permit to allow ' a change in the source of material because the origmal <br />source �f materiai �has been unavailable due to the Port of Everett and others <br />taking it for their pro'ects." T'he site was originally prop osed to be filled <br />using dredge materia�s from the Snohomish Rrver. As these materials are <br />not currently available, other fill material may be substituted for the original <br />matetial if the substitute fill material is meets certain standards detailed <br />below: <br />1. The general frequency of sampling for other than 'waste sites (i.e. gas <br />stations, mdustrial plants, etc.), must be provided. using random <br />sampling of every 5,000 cubic yards of miscellaneous soils. <br />2. Sampling from sites that include gas stations or industrial facilities shall <br />follow the guidelin;s set by the Department of Ecology in the Guidance <br />for Sit � C;�ecks and Site Assessments for Undei•ground Storage Tanks <br />(Feb. 1�91), which i;, one ; ample for every 25 cubic yards. <br />3. Testing for materials removed from ASARCO Study Area located in <br />north Everett shall satisfy all Department of Ecology requirements. <br />4.
