Protect from erosion with geotextile and support fence. <br />3.7 STRAW BALES <br />A. Embed minimum of 4 inches in flat-bottomed trench. <br />B. Place with ends tightly abutting or overlapped. Comer abutment is not <br />acceptable. <br />C. Install so that bale bindings are oriented around the sides and not aver ithe top <br />and bottom of the bale. <br />D. Use two posts for each bale. Drive posts through the bale until top of post is <br />flush with top of bale. <br />E. Wedge loose straws in any gaps between bales. <br />3.8 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Upon completion of maintenance period and on written notice from <br />Contractor, Engincer will within 15 days of receipt, determine if a satisfactory <br />stand has been established. <br />B.
