SECTION 01500 <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. Install, maintain, and operate all temporary facilities and controls as long as needed for the <br />safe and proper completion of the Work. <br />B. Related Sections: <br />1. General Provisions. <br />2. Section 01110 — Summary of Work. <br />3. Section 01740 — Progress and Final Cleaning. <br />1.02 TEMPORARY ELECTRICITY <br />A. Cost: Contractor to provide and pay for all power and associated services required from <br />utility source. <br />1.03 TEMPORARY LIGHTING <br />A. Provide and maintain incandescent lighting for construction operations to achieve minimum <br />lighting levels required by the Safely Standards for Construction Work (WAC 296-800-210). <br />B. Maintain lighting and provide routine repairs. <br />1.04 COMMUNICATIONS <br />A. Provide, maintain and pay for telephone, facsimile, and data services to field office <br />throughout the Contract time and through Physical Completion. <br />B. The Contractor shall provide its own means of job site communication. <br />1.05 TEMPORARY WATER <br />A. Provide, maintain and pay for suitable quality water service required for construction <br />operations. <br />B. Provide, maintain and pay for drinking water for employees in accordance with WISHA <br />requirements. <br />1.06 TEMPORARY SANITARY FACILITIES <br />A. Provide and maintain required toilet facilities and enclosures for both sexes, to be serviced <br />and cleaned weekly.
