SECTION 01500 <br />TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br />1.07 BARRIERS AND ENCLOSURES _ <br />A. Provide barriers to prevent unauthorized entry to construction areas and to protect existing <br />facilities and adjacent properties from damage from construction operations. <br />1.08 FENCES <br />A. Provide a 6' high chain link fence with gates around the perimeter of the site for security <br />during the entire length of construction. <br />1.09 STAGING AND ENTRANCE AREAS <br />A. Provide and maintain crushed rock construction access to and from the site. The crushed <br />rock areas will insure entrance, exit and surrounding roads are free from mud. <br />1.10 PROTECTION OF INSTALLED WORK <br />A. Provide temporary and removable protection for installed Products. Control activity in <br />immediate work area to prevent damage. <br />B. Provide protective coverings at walls, projections, jambs, sills, and soffits of openings. <br />C. Protect finished floors, stairs, and other surfaces from traffic, dirt, wear, damage, or <br />movement of heavy objects. <br />1.11 SECURITY <br />A. Provide security and facilities to protect the Work from unauthorized entry, vandalism, or <br />theft. Secure the construction zone at all times when not present on -site. <br />1.12 PROGRESS CLEANING AND WASTE REMOVAL <br />A. In addition to the requirements of Section Progress and Final Cleaning, comply with the <br />following requirements <br />1. Maintain areas free of waste materials, debris, and rubbish. Maintain site in a clean <br />and orderly condition. <br />2. Remove debris and rubbish from pipe chases, and other closed or remote spaces, prior <br />to enclosing the space. <br />3. Collect and remove waste materials, debris, and rubbish from site and dispose off -site <br />in a legal manner. <br />1.13 STREET CLEANING AND EXTERIOR DUST CONTROL <br />A. During construction, damp sweep the public streets each working day, or as mutual!y agreed <br />with the Resident Engineer.
