SECTION 01110 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />Two weeks prior to beginning of a specific construction activity, the Contractor shall <br />prepare a narrative of proposed construction activities, including a schedule, to Sound <br />Transit Facility. Specifically, the following information shall be provided += <br />a.) Identify the dates by which construction activity, which has the following effects, <br />will commence and be finished <br />i. Disrupt normal traffic Flow on Hill Avenue, 33'tl Street, Smith Avenue or <br />Pacific Avenue. <br />ii. Disrupt access, vehicular or pedestrian, to any active business or transit <br />adjacent to the Site. <br />iii. Restrict parking on any street within or adjacent to the Site. <br />iv. Require work outside of normal work hours. <br />2. Sound Transit's Resident Engineer will be responsible for issuing advance notification <br />to the public at large. However the Contractor shall be responsible for the day-to-day <br />or hour -by -hour coordination with local governmental authorities, property owners or <br />tenants when Work directly impacts normal operations, uses, or accesses. <br />Contractor's failure to meet minimum notification requirements shall not result in <br />additional cost to Sound Transit. <br />1.06 SURVEY INFORMATION <br />A. A survey of the site is provided by Sound Transit and included in the Drawings. Sound <br />Transit has established reference benchmarks identified on the Drawings. The Contractor <br />will confirm with Sound Transit the reference survey data at the start of construction. From <br />the information provided, the Contractor shall develop and make such additional surveys as <br />are needed for construction, such as control lines, slope stakes, settlement platforms, batter <br />boards, stakes for pipe locations and other working points, lines and elevations. Survey <br />work shall be performed under the responsible charge of a State of Washington licensed <br />land surveyor. The Contractor shall re-establish reference benchmarks and survey control <br />monuments destroyed by its operations at no cost to Sound Transit. Submit control work <br />and cut sheet to the Resident Engineer in advance of work operations. <br />1.07 SPECIFICATION LANGUAGE <br />A. Portions of the Specifications are written in imperative and streamlined form. This <br />imperative language is directed to the Contractor, unless specifically noted otherwise. The <br />words "shall be" shall be included by inference where a colon () is used within sentences or <br />phrases. <br />1. Examples: <br />a.) Aggregate: ASTM C33 <br />b.)
