SECTION 01200 <br />MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES <br />2. Payment <br />a) All work to perform the roadway and site excavation and embankment <br />compaction with reuse of available on -site material to shape the existing material to <br />design grades shall be included in the project lump sum item. <br />b) "Gravel "orrow Incl. Haul', per ton. <br />The unit contract price per ton for "Gravel Borrow Incl. Haul' shall be full compensation <br />for all costs incurred for furnishing, hauling, placing, and compacting the material. <br />c) "Unsuitable Foundation Excavation Incl. Haut — Contaminated", per ton. <br />d) "Unsuitable Foundation Excavation Incl. Haul — Uncontaminated", per ton. <br />e) The unit contract price per ton for "Unsuitable Foundation Excavation Incl. Haul — <br />Contaminated" and "Unsuitable Foundation Excavation Incl. Haul — Uncontaminated" <br />shall be full payment for all costs incurred for excavating, stockpiling and testing as <br />directed by the Resident Engineer, !oading, hauling, and disposing of the material. <br />f) There will be no separate payment for haul on any material moved within or from <br />the project site and the Contractor shall include the cost of hauling in the contract price. <br />C. RCW 39.04.180 requires that a separate bid item for shoring or extra excavations be <br />included in the estimate and proposal. In no case shall the costs for shoring or extra <br />excavations be included in other bid items. <br />"Trench Excavation Safety Systems", per lump sum. <br />In the !ump sum contract price for "Trench Excavation Safety Systems" shall be full <br />pay for performing the work as specified in Section 2-09, Shoring or Extra <br />Excavation Calss , of the Standard Specifications. <br />1.08 MEASUREMENT <br />A. Measurement and payment descriptions for each item listed in the Bid Form are as <br />set forth throughout the applicable sections of the Contract Documents and as <br />noted herein. <br />1. All bid items of work acceptably completed under the Contract will be measured by the <br />Resident Engineer according to United States standard measure. <br />2. Measurements will be made as hereinafter provided unless otherwise provided for by <br />their individual measurement specifications. <br />3. The method of measurement and computations to be used in determination of quantities <br />of material furnished or of work performed under the Contract will be those methods <br />generally recognized as conforming to accepted engineering practice and will be carried <br />to the proper significant figures or fractions of units for each item to conform to the usual <br />practice of Sound Transit. <br />4. Items of work for which payment is made by a 'Lump Sum" will be measured as a <br />complete unit. Partial payment, if made, will be made according to the completed <br />percentage of the various components of the lump sum item detailed in an approved <br />Schedule of Values, except for bid item "Initial Mobilization" if listed in the Bid Form. <br />Measurement for payment for bid item 'Initial Mobilization" will be based upon completion <br />of all such work, as specified, as a single, lump sum, non-proratable pay item. <br />Capital Projects Commuter Rail 01200 - 5 IFB No. RTA/CP 21-06 <br />Everett Station Phase 2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES <br />
