SECTION 01400 <br />QUALITY CONTROL <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. This section describe the Contractor's responsibilities to ensure the specified standard of <br />quality for the Project is achieved. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the <br />following: <br />1. Quality control - control of materials and installation <br />2. Construction Work Plans (CWP) <br />3. Readiness Reviews <br />4. Quality control and quality assurance sampling, testing, and inspection to be provided <br />by the Contractor <br />5. Coordination with and for quality assurance, testing, and inspection services to be <br />provided by Sound l ,ansit <br />6. Manufacturers' field services <br />7. Submittals <br />8. Records <br />1.02 QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. The Contractor has complete responsibility for quality control over suppliers, manufacturers, <br />products, services, site conditions, and workmanship to produce Work of specified quality. <br />B. Comply with manufacturers' instructions, including each step in sequence. <br />C. Should manufacturers' instructions conflict with the contract documents, the Contractor shall <br />request clarification from the Resident Engineer before proceeding. <br />D. Specified standards are the minimum quality for the Work that will be accepted. Comply <br />with tolerances, requirements, and workmanship shown or specified in the contract <br />documents which are more stringent than thu specified standards. <br />E. Perform Work by persons qualified to produce required and specified quality. <br />F. Verify that dimensions elablished in the field and/or measurements taken in the field are as <br />indicated on shop drawings or as instructed by the manufacturer. <br />G. All of the Work under this Contr^ct must be fully tested in accordance with the <br />specifications.
