ATTACHMENT A TO SECTION 01900 <br />REVISIONS TO THE STANDARD PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />PCC from 260 to 230 <br />BST tram 260 to 230 <br />In the chart for Liquid pavement marking material yield per gallon in ihe sevenih parayraph, the <br />measurement for Mils thickness is revised irom 260 to 230 and ihe Feet of 4" line/gallon is revised <br />from 19 to 21. <br />In the chart (or Solid pavement marking material (Type A) in ihe eighth paragraph, the following is <br />revised: <br />Mils thickness from 260 ilat inset to 230 tiat inset <br />Feet of 4" line/50# bag from 42 to h7 <br />Square feeU50# bag from 14 to 15 <br />The third, fourih, (ifih and '�th sentences in the elevenih paragraph are �evised to read: <br />For Type C material the siot shall be cut with equipment to produce a smooth square slot with a <br />widih in accordance with ihe material manufacturer's recommendation. The slot depth for Type C <br />material shall be 100 mils, plus or minus 10 mils. The slot depth for Type A or D material shall be <br />250 mils minimum. Slots for TypP A or D material shall be tilled witfi material so that the top ot the <br />material with glass beads is 20 mils, +/- 10 mils, below the pavement surface. <br />This section is suppiemented with the (ollowing: <br />Whe�i two or more spray applications are required to meet thickness requirements for Type A and <br />Type D materials, top dressing with glass beads is only allowed on the last application. The cure <br />period between successive applications shall be in accordance with the manu(acturer's <br />recommendations. Any Ioose beads, dirt or other debris shali be swept or blown oft the line prior to <br />application ot each successive application. Successive applications shall be applied squarely on top <br />ot the preceding applicalion. <br />5-22.3(5) Installation Instructions <br />This section including title is revised to read: <br />8-22.3(5) Plastic Installation Instructions <br />Installation instructions for ptastic markings shall be Frovided (or ihe Engineer. All materials <br />including glass beads shall be installed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. A <br />manufacturer's techn;cal representative shall be present at the initial installation oi plastic material to <br />approve the installation procedure or the material manufacturer shall certify that the Coniractor will <br />install the plastic material in accordance with iheir recommended procedure. <br />SECTION 9•02, BITUMINOUS MATERIALS <br />January 3, 2006 <br />9-02.1(4) Asphalt Binders <br />This section including title is revised to read: <br />9-02.1(4) Performance Graded Asphalt Binder (PGAB) <br />PGAB meeting the requiremenis o( AASHTO M 320 Table 1 of the grades specified in ihe contract <br />shall be used in the production of HMA.
