n. <br />E. <br />SECT;ON 09651 <br />RESIUENT TtLE FLOORING <br />Scribe, cut, and fit floor tiles to butt neatly and tiyhtly to vertical surfaces and permanent fixture� <br />�ncluding built-in (urniture, cabinets, pipes, outlets, and door frames. <br />Extend floor tiles into toe spaces, door reveals, closets, and similar openings. Extend floor tiles <br />to center of door openings �ind to perimeter room walis under floor mounted items. <br />Maintain reference marE:ers, holes, and openings that are in place or marker; for f�ture cutling <br />by repeating on iloor t�les as marked on substrates. Use chalk or othear nonpermanent, <br />nonstaining marking device. <br />G. Inst�ill Ooor tiles on covers for telephone and eieclrical ducts, b�ilding expansion-joint covers, <br />and similar items in finished iloor areas. Maintain overall continuity of color ard pattern <br />between pieces of tile installec� on covers ard adjoining tiles. Tightly adhere tile edges to <br />substrales that abut covers and to cover perimeters. <br />H. Adhere tloor tiles to ftooring s�bstrates using a tull spread of adhesive applied to substrate lo <br />produce r-� completed installaticn vuithout open cracks, voids, raising and puckering at joints, <br />telegraphing o( adhesive spreader marks, and other surface imperiections. <br />3.4 <br />A. <br />B. <br />C. <br />D. <br />E. <br />CLEANING AND PROTECTION <br />Comply with manufacturer's written instructions for cleaning and protection of floor tile. <br />Perform the following operations immediately after completing Ooor tile installation: <br />1. Remove adhesive and other blemishes from exposed suriaces. <br />2. Sweep and vacuum surfaces thoroughly. <br />3.
