Hawkey <br />629 33rd Street <br />40946 <br />In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been <br />examined and you are advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the <br />reasons listed below. These comments address building issues only, additional <br />revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning <br />or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the <br />State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Edition, unless <br />stated otherwise. <br />1. Plans do not show a typical section. Provide a typical wall section, show and <br />label all components, including insulation. Section should be from foundation <br />to the roof. <br />2. Show beams or multiple joists at the floor level that will be supporting the roof <br />trusses. <br />3. Provide a detail of the posts at the rear of the house that support the addition. <br />Specify connectors at post/beam and post/footing. <br />4. Show new footings on lower floor plan. All footings shall rest on undisturbed <br />soil not less than 18" below the finished grade. <br />5. Show how existing deck will attach to new addition. <br />6. Smoke detectors are required in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area <br />giving access to each separate sleeping area. <br />7. Provide minimum 50 CFM fan in new bathroom and in laundry closet. <br />8.
