July 28, 1993
Paul J. Hawkey
629 33rd Street
Everett, Washington 98201
RE: Owner:
Job Address:
Plan Check No.:
Dear Mr. Hawkey:
Paul J. Hawkey
629 33rd Street
40946
In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been
examined and you are advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the
reasons listed below. These comments address building issues only, additional
revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning
or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the
State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Edition, unless
stated otherwise.
1. Plans do not show a typical section. Provide a typical wall section, show and
label all components, including insulation. Section should be from foundation
to the roof.
2. Show beams or multiple joists at the floor level that will be supporting the roof
trusses.
3. Provide a detail of the posts at the rear of the house that support the addition.
Specify connectors at post/beam and post/footing.
4. Show new footings on lower floor plan. All footings shall rest on undisturbed
soil not less than 18" below the finished grade.
5. Show how existing deck will attach to new addition.
6. Smoke detectors are required in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area
giving access to each separate sleeping area.
7. Provide minimum 50 CFM fan in new bathroom and in laundry closet.
8. Under no circumstances shall a private garage have any opening into a room
used for sleeping purposes.
CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Street • Everett, WA 98201 • (206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-8856
