These comments address <br />building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, may bc required by other departments (such as <br />Utilities, Planning or Pire). All references refer to the 200G International Building Code, as amendeJ by thc <br />State of Washington and adoptcd by the Ciry of Gverett and the Washington State Gnergy Code, 2006 <br />Ldition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for tl►e processing of your application to continue, it �vill be necessary to pro��ide the Building <br />Division witl� two complete new sets of dra«�ings reflecting the corrections requested. <br />A one-hour firc-resistive separation is required between the U occupancy ot the basement and the B <br />occupancy above (IBC 508.3). All beams, columns, and walls supporting tl�e separati�n �re required <br />to Uc protcctcd (II3C 711.4). <br />Stairways connecli�ig more than ?.vo levcls are required to be enclosed with fire barr:ers to form an <br />exit enclosure (IIIC 1020.1). The exit enclosure is than required to discharge direcdy to th� exterior <br />of tlic building (IBC 1024.1). <br />3. Same elevation landings are required on each side of a stairway door (IBC 1008.1.4). <br />4.
