Fire Department Comments <br /> 1. Access - The International Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Fire <br /> Department access roads to within 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. Fire <br /> Department access roads (Fire Lanes) shall provide a minimum of 20 feet in width of <br /> unobstructed, all-season driving surface with a minirnum clear height of 13'6". Fire <br /> Lanes will be posted and maintained as required by the Fire Department. <br /> 2. The required length of the easement access is in excess af 150 feet; therefore, a Fire <br /> Marshal approved turnaround shall be provided. <br /> 3. Si ns - Signs stating 'NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOW AWAY ZONE' shall be <br /> provided the length of the easer.ient access. Locations are tu be approved by the <br /> Fire Marshal. <br /> 4. Premise Identification Easements - The correct address of each residence served by <br /> the easement access road must be posted upon a permanent sign at the street entry <br /> to the easement access. In addition, the correct address must be posted upon or <br /> near each residence in such a manner as to be clearly visible and legible from the <br /> easement access road. <br /> 5. PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ,ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> ACCESS ROADS AND FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO <br /> COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> b. A fire hydrant is required within 350 driving feet of every structure. <br /> 7. Lots 4 & 5 - Distance from the building site to the nearest fire hydrant will exceed <br /> current requirements.
