As stated in the July 15°i email, the cost to install the Double Check Detector Assembly is estimated to be $20,126.00. Payment of this amount will relinquish the property owner of the responsiUility of upgrading the back0ow prevention in your system that provides protection for the Ciry water system. This payment will occur within one year of the date of this letter. The payment will be utilized in the City's upcoming water main replacement project along 112'� St SE. These funds will be used to install the Double Check Detector Assembty m a vault along the edge of the right-of-way. A mutually agreeaMe location of the vault will be determined at the time of installation with the owner of the property Providing an easement as need�d. Additionally, if tlic 112°i St SE water main project is delayed or revised, or the City Water Department installs the DCDA as planned as an additional stand-alone project, then the City will proceed with the installation after acquiring the funds.
