Applicaticn for any freestanding sign must be reviewed and <br /> approved by both the Building and Planning Departments prior to <br /> construction. This application shall lnclude a statement from <br /> the applicant demonstrating why it is infeasible or impractieal <br /> to mount said freestanding sign on the building. Failure to <br /> satisfactorily meet this requirement shall be sufficient <br /> grounds for denial of the application. <br /> c. The maximiun allowable height for all freestanding sig�s shall <br /> be five (5) feet from ground 1eve1 to sign top. <br /> 2. a. All signs and displays shall be in compliance with the <br /> regulations of the City's Sign Code Chapter 16.16 E.M.C. <br /> b. Free-stand�ng si�s shall be limited to one (1) per development <br /> and shall not exceed forty (4Q) square feet in surface area per <br /> side. <br /> c• Billboards, flashing or rotating si�s, roof signs, and signs <br /> paiated on fences or building facades sha11 Se prohihited. <br /> d. Flush-mounted building signs shall �ot extend above the eave or <br /> parapet of any axterior wall and shall not exceed in siza fiva <br /> �5) percent of the wall on which it is placed.
