EVLUATION FOR
AGENCY USE OYLY
b. What is the steepest slope on the site (approximate percent slope)?
The steep slope on site is 12% located on the east side of the property. The
topography of the site is shown on Figure 3 -- Preliminary Site Desiqn.
c. What general types of soils are found on the site (for example, clay, sand,
gravel, peat, muck)? If ou know the classification of agricultural soils,
specify them and note any prime farmland.
Evidence of significant surficial soil disturbance on this site is presented by the
Soil Conservation Service (SCS) in the Soil Survey of Snohomish County Area,
Washington which has classified the site as Alderwood-Urban land complex, 2 to S
percent slopes (map unit 5).
Alderwood-Urban land complex is about 60 percent Aiderwood gravelly sandy
loam and about 25 percent Urban land. Alderwood soil is moderately deep over a
hardpan and is moderately well drained. Permeability of the Alderwood soil is
moderately rapid above the hardpan and slow through it. Alderwood is not listed
as a hydric soil. Also included in this unit are small areas of McKenna and Norma
soils and Terric Medisapriscs in depressional areas and drainageways on plains.
McKenna. Norma and Terric Medisaprists are deep, very poorly drained soils and •
are listed as hydric on the Snohomish County H•dric Soils List.
The Urban-land designation is used whenever land use such as streets, buildings,
parking lots or other structures alter or obscure the soil, rendering soil
identification impossible. The Urban land desi¢nation precludes the use of the
Snohomish Counry hydric soils list for the determination of the presence of hydric
soils. See Wetland Analysis.
d. Are there surface indications or history of unstable soils in the immediate
vicinity? If so, describe.
No indications.
e. Describe the purpose, type, and approrimate quantities of any filling or
grading proposed. Indicate source of fill.
Site development wculd include minimal cut approximately 6,380 cy. and fill of
approximately 11,080 cy. as rccxssary for conso[uction of building and other site
improvements.
f. Could erosion occur as a result of clearing, coastruction, or use? If so,
gen2rally describe.
There could be a short-term increase in potential for on-site erosion where soils are
exposed during site preparation and construction. 15
Ettviranmenta!
