First Kids N <br /> Us o�cupied approacimately 868 square feet. (For 18 children). Kids N Us <br /> moved to 128thst location and On Silver Ls�lce Childcare have been at the <br /> same location since 1998. We were re-licensed for 12 additiorial children <br /> adding 1621 square feet. Our license expires 5/31/02. <br /> To have to install a very expense NFPA #'72 new system would cost <br /> between $6,000 to $8,000. We have operated in a safe manner with fire <br /> a;arms in al] the rooms and Gre extinguishers throughout. This added <br /> cost would be a true Cnancial hardship on our business. Enrollment is <br /> down in all childcare centers right now. We are at 22 children currently. <br /> It was in the Herald newspaper that over 400 businesses went out <br /> of business in Washington State last year. We employee 7 people at On <br /> Silver Lake Childcare.
