SURVEYING <br />October 8, 2008 <br />HAND DELIVERY <br />Permit Services Division <br />City of Everett <br />Department of Planning and Community Development <br />2930 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 8A <br />Everett WA 98201-4044 <br />RE: Submittal of Building permit <br />Fred Meyer Fueling Facility <br />12906 19th Avenue SE (Bothell -Everett Highway) <br />Everett WA 98208-6687 <br />Fred Meyer Store No. 458 / Our Job No. 131 IF <br />Ladies and Gentlemen: <br />On behalf of our clients, Fred Meyer Stores, Inc, and The Kroger Company, we are submitting the necessary <br />applications and supporting documentation for the issuance of building permits in connection With the <br />development of a Fred Meyer retail fueling facility at the location referenced above. <br />Protect Overview: The scope of our proposal calls for the construction of a Fred Meyer retail fueling <br />facility leaturing it 24- by 144-foot (3,456 square feet) canopy With an 8- by 14-foot (1 12 square feet) cashier's <br />kiosk and five multi -product dispensers (10 fueling positions). The project Will also include the installation of <br />two (2) underground storage tanks (US'rs); one 20,000-gallon tank for regular unleaded fuel and one 18,000- <br />gallon dual tank (10,000/8,000), containing diesel and supreme unleaded fuels. Other a, ociated site <br />improvements will include asphalt paving, signage, lot lights and utility connections; the project's existing <br />landscaping will not be affected by the proposed fuel facility. The facility will be of Type 11-B Construction <br />and Group M Occupancy according to the 2006 International Building Code (IBC). <br />Oneratine Hours: The facility will be capable of 24-hour operation; seven days a week. During the <br />principal store hours there will be an employee at the fueling facility's kiosk, who will be responsible for <br />making cash and credit card transactions and monitoring the fueling activities. During other hours, the facility <br />wal be capable of operation as an unattended facility; remotely supervised via the security cameras.
