February 19, 1997 <br />I Y� _ _ I► 1 ti aF1 <br />Allan Giffen, Planning, explained that this Land Use Map amendment was <br />initiated by the Planning Commission at staffs request. With a possible future <br />annexation of the area to Everett, residents of the area want to maintain the <br />9,600 sq. ft. R-1 zoning as opposed to the R-1 minimum lot area of 6,000 sq. <br />ft. There was no opposition to this at the Planning Commission public hearing <br />and two people spoke in support of this amendment. <br />President Anderson asked for public comment. No one responded. <br />Mayor Hansen left the Council meeting <br />9`707- b 970l'=�1�_ S�= <br />GREENSPACE PROPERTY <br />Allan Giffen, Planning, stated that the Greenspace property is located at 9707 <br />and 9709 19th Avenue S.E. in the Eastmont area. The proposed change is from <br />multiple family to community business. A site plan was inc:uded as part of the <br />Planning Commission recommendation The applicant has volunteered to limit <br />the range of permitted B-2 uses through a Resolution of Intent to Rezone. <br />There were no public comments at the Planning Commission hearing. <br />Brady Vinje, 11215 19th Avenue SE and a representative of Greenspace, <br />explained the proposed development and presented scaled and 3-dimensional <br />plans. He stated that the development would be small scale buildings for small <br />scale tenants. He asked for the Council's concurrence regarding the rezone. <br />Councilmember Gipson questioned traffic mitigation. Allan Giffen responded <br />that a traffic mitigation fee is collected at the time of development. <br />President Anderson asked for public comment. No one responded <br />83 <br />
