The initial estimate was based on the plans given to me by the association. <br />There was a discrepancy in the amount of windows and I am happy to tell you that there are iess <br />windows then initially estimated. The following estimate is for all the windows cn your building. <br />ALL NEW WINDOWS WITH HARDI-PLANK SIDING: <br />1. Set up scaffolding to access work a�=a. <br />2. Install construction tarping to enclose work area. <br />3. Remove downspouts, exterior lights, numbers, vents, etc. and save for re-installation. <br />4. Demo existing stucco wali finish. See attached plans for areas to be removed versus areas to <br />be saved. <br />5. Demo ALL existing aluminum windows. (57) total, this includes the windows on the west <br />elevation at the private decks. <br />6. Inspect sheathing. Any sheathin�, freming, insulation, and/or drywall repairs will be <br />completed on a time and material basis. <br />7. Instati (57) nevr Milgard white vinyl windows with solar bronze and luw E glass plus screens. <br />Th�s is Milgard's top of the line glass. The big picture windows, (18) total, (7'0" X 4'0" and <br />10'0" X 4'0"), will be field glazed at the site. These will be di�cult windows to get to second <br />and third floors. Ten (10) windows need to be tempered in the common stairwell. Ten <br />(10) windows need to be tempered inside the units to comply with current building <br />codes. (20) Total. <br />8. Insia!! new window head flashing. <br />9. Install (2) two new layers of 60 minute super jumbo tex paper and a blueskin membrane <br />around each window opening. <br />10. Install new 8'/1' Hardiplank Cedarmill Lap with Td hot dipped and 12 galv nails. <br />11. Wi�ndow trim is 2X4 white wood. The corner trim is 2X3 and 2X4 whitewood. <br />12. Ca�lk with a high grade OSI quad caulk. <br />13. Paint new pre-primed hardiplank ,2X3 and 2X4 trim, and new head flashings with a <br />100°/a exterior acrylic. One spray coat on the siding and two coats on the new window <br />trim anri flashings. Association to chose color. <br />14. A transition vertical 2x4 trim piece wiil need ta be installed at any IocaHon that existing <br />stucco butts new siding. (ie. the North elevation at the deck wall to wail area) <br />15. Complete any interior window wraps. Estimated in the bid is to wrap three sides of the <br />opening with wood plus a wood sill. Case opening on three sides with a tyFical casing. <br />16.
