� <br />MEMO <br />'f0: Bob Landles <br />FROM: Marian Payne ./j�'-/� <br />UATE: May 11, 1990 <br />SUBJ: McKee Froperty at 'l2nd and Rockcfeller <br />� <br />There is a Notice and urder out on the three buildings on <br />this property. 1'he Urd�r states that the "Building Offic�.al <br />and Planning/Cummur.ity DeveloomenL Uirector will subn,it a <br />Resolution authoriziny the demolition of the buildinq to the <br />Everett City Council", "On May 30, 199U, at 8:30 a.m." <br />Mr. and Mrs. McKee are pre�ently workin9 ��ri*.h our CHIP office <br />to secure a CHIP luan to rehabilitate the }�uildings. A <br />partial approval for the loan has been 9iven to Mr. McY.ee <br />provided that he meets certain financial criteria prior to <br />the loan being signed. <br />I am in continuous contact with the CI1IP office so that I <br />will know when to back down on this abatement action. So far <br />Mr. McKee has not i'ul.filled the CHIP requirements and the <br />deal has not bean finalized. Time is nearing on the Council <br />date of May 3Uth. I recommend that we proc�ed to submit a <br />resolution for demolition of each building to Council on the <br />Scheduleci date, recommend that Council adopt the resolutions <br />but, advise Council that the resolutions would be held in <br />abeyance for two months. '1'his action allows more time £or <br />Mr. P1cKee to finalize his deal with the CHIP office.
