Otak will prepare concept plan graphics to <br /> be used as presentation materials for City staff and/or community meetings. <br /> The elements in the concept plans could include street trees and plantings, utility structures <br /> such as street lighting and traffic control devices,public right-of-way signs, retaining walls, <br /> and pedestrian safety rails, bicycle lanes, transit benches and shelters, gateway signage, and <br /> other right-of-way improvements as appropriate.The location and nature of public art <br /> pieces, freestanding or incorporated into the overall design will also be identified when <br /> appropriate. <br /> Task 4 Deliverables: <br /> • Theme narrative and sketches of two themes <br /> • Concept typical sections of the gateway locations to serve as design guidelines for future <br /> street improvement design <br /> • Two concept plans with sketches for each of the eight gateway specific sites. <br /> Task 5.0 <br /> Schematic Plans and Report <br /> One preferred concept or hybrid concept from each gateway locations will be selected for <br /> advancement to schematic design. The schematic plans will illustrate the location, type of <br /> material, extent of material for each location. The extent and quantity of specific material will <br /> be sufficient to prepare a preliminary cost opinion. <br /> The schematic plans will include plan views, sections, and a 3-d model or photo simulation <br /> for each of the six gateways as appropriate to clearly communicate the design intent. The <br /> schematic plans will not contain sufficient horizontal control and elevations needed for <br /> bidding or construction. <br /> Otak will prepare a draft and final report containing the previously described deliverables for <br /> City of Everett review and comment.
