June 3, 2015 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br />6:30 p.m., June 3, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br />Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call <br />it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br />Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br />President Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the May 27, 2015, City Council meeting were approved as <br />printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br />MAYOR <br />The Mayor congratulated Deb Williams, Council Administrator, for her 30 <br />year anniversary with the city of Everett today and thanked her for the <br />great service she has provided to fellow employees and the citizens of <br />Everett. <br />The Mayor announced that Council Member Murphy has agreed to serve <br />as a liaison to the Everett Streets Initiative Task Force. <br />The Mayor reported that the City is facing the potential impacts of a <br />Cadillac Tax on health care, which is scheduled to take effect in 2018. <br />The Mayor requested the assignment of a council representative to work <br />with City staff on this issue and to assist in developing future medical <br />coverage and plans, and asked President Bader to discuss with council <br />members. <br />COUNCIL <br />Council Members also congratulated Deb Williams and thanked her for 30 <br />years of service to the citizens of Everett and for her work in supporting <br />the members of the Council. <br />Council Member Murphy stated he is pleased to serve as liaison for the <br />Streets Initiative Task Force.
