June 3, 2015 <br />Administration, Legal, and the Police Department work together over the <br />next several weeks and months to address citizen concerns. <br />Council Member Roberts expressed his appreciation for the work of the <br />Streets Initiative Task Force. He announced that Sound Transit moved <br />forward last week on the public involvement for ST3, and the first public <br />meeting will be held on June 18, 2015, 5:30 p.m., at Everett Station. <br />Council Member Moore stated he was pleased with the appointment of a <br />council member to serve as liaison to the Streets Initiative Task Force. As <br />a result of numerous citizen comments, Council Member Moore <br />encouraged Council Member Murphy to contact the task force to <br />determine what roadblocks prevented the adoption of the ordinance <br />affecting public safety at intersections. <br />Council Member Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br />Council of Neighborhoods meeting this week. <br />Deb Williams thanked everyone for their kind remarks. She stated it has <br />been an honor and privilege to work with such a good group of people. <br />President Bader left the Council Chambers for a previously scheduled <br />graduation event. Council Vice President Murphy stepped in to preside <br />over the remainder of the meeting. <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />City Attorney Iles requested an executive session, anticipated to last no <br />more than 10 minutes, concerning a litigation matter pursuant to RCW <br />42.30.110(1)(i) with no announcement to follow. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Jackie Minchew, Everett, commented on global warming and the City of <br />Everett Climate Action Plan. He also provided a photocopy of the last <br />chapter from the book, "Afterburn: Society Beyond Fossil Fuels." <br />162 <br />
