Jan Meston
From: !fieldmt@verizon.net
Sent: Monday, October 20, 2008 9:07 AM
To: jmeston@ci.everett.wa.us.
Subject: Historic Overlay
I don't want yet another layer of government dictating to me what I can do with my home.
There are several homes in the overlay that have changed their structure which I think is
fine and I want to preserve that right for others.
One of the many things I like about living in the city is the diversity of homes. I may
not like all of them but they create a feeling of individuality which I do like.
Another thing -- what if a home becomes too difficult to keep in its original structure or
if one burns down. Will the owner be required to rebuild that same structure?
I'm 77 years old so I probably won't be making any changes in my home but I want to
protect the rights of others who may want to make changes.
Lorraine Tyrrell
2714 Victor Place
1
