The 2009 tournament will again be held in <br /> Everett and the greater Everett area and is scheduled for Monday, July 20, through Saturday, July 25, <br /> 2009. <br /> Everett will provide four fields at Kasch Park and four fields at Phil Johnson Ballfields. The tournament is <br /> estimated to attract 250-300 teams, consisting of ages 10 and under through 18 and under, in addition to <br /> family members, tournament officials and umpires. <br /> Based on the anticipated tournament play schedule, NSA will pay the City $9,451.92 (the Parks <br /> Department's marginal cost) for field modifications and maintenance services associated with the <br /> tournament. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign an agreement <br /> with the National Softball Association for the 2009 Girls Fastpitch Western World Series Tournament. <br /> 8 <br />
